What happens in Vegas, I’m telling everyone! I’ve just come back from Sin City and I’ve already booked to go again in October. My Las Vegas holiday started in style as I flew Business Class with Delta Airlines. The beds and fine dining experiences made the long flight a pleasure, I almost didn’t want to get off. I had an amazing few days with a jam-packed itinerary and even managed to tick a few things of my bucket list.
Location
My home for the three nights was the recently opened Park MGM. The hotel isn’t as big as most hotels in Vegas which I liked as I didn’t have to walk miles to my room! The hotel offers all the usual amenities that you would expect, pools, pool parties, casinos and more. Everything was in walking distance as it is located on the strip. The Park MGM even offers the ARIA Express, a tram which stops off at the ARIA, Bellagio, Vdara, & The Shops at Crystals.
What I Loved
There was so much to love about this Vegas holiday but one thing I'll never forget is zip lining over the Bootleg Canyon. I booked with a local company called Flightlinez. The experience begins with taking a bus up a mountain, followed by a hike until you reach 3129ft above sea level. Then you soar above the desert on a zipline! It is both terrifying and incredibly exciting, I'm glad I did it!
Activities & Places to See
- The Maverick Nightlife Helicopter Tour was another thing I ticked off my bucket list. There’s no better way to admire the views of the city.
- Go to see a show! I went to see Cirque du Soleil, it was amazing!
- The Zipline at Fly Linq Promenade is great fun. Try to admire the views of the strip, which is 12 stories below you!
Shopping
I went to the North Outlets, there were plenty of bargains to be had. There are always people handing out coupon booklets which will give you discounts in most shops.
Food & Bars
I ate in a few restaurants in different hotels throughout the trip. From Mexican in the Luxor, Italian at Buddy Valastro’s in the Venetian and Steak and Lobster at Scotch restaurant in The Palm’s Hotel. I also enjoyed an In-N-Out burger at the LINQ Promenade so there are plenty of cheap fast food outlets too. Avoid buying any drinks or snacks from the hotel shops as they are triple the price of local stores. You will find everything you need in Walgreens or CVS.
Flying home Business Class with KLM was the icing on the cake! I couldn’t fault one thing about this Las Vegas holiday. The city really is a constant party. I look forward to exploring the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World’ some more in October!
