WELCOME TO MALAYSIA

Having celebrated 50 years of independence in 2007, Malaysia is fast becoming the destination of choice for Southeast Asian tourism. There is a lot to tap into in this nation. Development has begun to see Malaysia step up to the plate in terms of resources, while also retaining its culture and heritage.

Malay, Chinese, Indian and tribal influence have lead to a broad spectrum of people and pastimes that make Malaysia a colourful and enticing place to visit.

There are staggeringly beautiful beaches on display here and where world-class dive sites await discovery. There are plenty of sights to take in also from the regal mosques and temples to the oldest rainforest in the world. And if that weren’t enough there is also the astonishing coastline ideal for wandering and taking in views of the sunset.

There is also quite a lively nightlife on offer in Malaysia- particularly at Kuala Lumpur where you can find a good selection of reputable nightclubs and bars. Bars and clubs usually stay open till around 0500 am here, with the possible exception of those located within hotels.

There is a range of shopping opportunities on offer too from street markets where bargaining is a way of trade, to department stores, which are a bit more exclusive and commercial. There are also several duty free zones, primarily on the islands of Labuan and Langkawi, where everything from perfumes to electrical goods can be snapped up at discount prices.

Malaysia is a truly varied destination take in the magnificent landscapes, enjoy the cultural hotspots and get the best out of the nightlife and shopping.
